Getting an Opinion

dear aiko,

hey! ok, you know how i write stories? well when i have my friends read them they never give me feedback. all i get is "good job" or "i like it".  What i want is constructive feedback that makes it better. If they hate it i want them to tell me. I don't know if they think it will hurt my feelings, but i want my stories to be better. How can i let them know this? I try, but it never works. :(

 Instead of just asking your friends to give you feedback ask more specific questions like: "Am I using good word choice?" "Do you like the storyline/plot?" If your friends still don't give you the kind of feedback you want, you shouldn't ask those friends. Sure you can share your stories with them, but maybe you need to find someone who isn't afraid to make sugestions on your work.
